Abstract
A nickel complex containing an aluminum pincer ligand has been synthesized, in which the Al ligand potentially serves as an electron-accepting ligand. The nickel center in the bimetallic complex exhibited oxidative addition reaction of aryl halides, chloroform, and benzotrichloride, resulting in the formation of halogen-bridged bimetallic complexes.
