Abstract

Oligoketones based on 1,1-dichloro-2,2-di (4-hydroxyphenyl) ethylene and 4,4′-dichlorodiphenyl ketone were synthesized by the method of high-temperature polycondensation under the reaction of nucleophilic substitution; 1,1-dichloro-2,2-di (3,5-dibromo-4-hydroxyphenyl) ethylene and 4,4′-dichlorodiphenyl ketone of varying degrees of polycondensation. Oligoketones have been obtained containing reactive end phenolate groups, which readily enter into polycondensation reactions to form various copolymers. The composition and structure, as well as the conditions for the synthesis of these oligoketones were investigated. The formation of oligomers of a given structure has been confirmed by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and X-ray structural analysis.
