Abstract
1. By direct reaction of trialkylchlorosilanes with saturated mono- and di-basic acids the syntheses have been effected of eight organosilicon esters that have not been described previously in the literature; they include five representatives of the completely unstudied class of esters of dibasic acids. 2. It has been established that most of the synthesized esters are readily hydrolyzed, even by the moisture of the air, a particularly marked tendency to undergo hydrolysis being possessed by esters containing trimethylsilyl radicals.
