Abstract
Abstract In order to study the isomerization of daphniphylline into isodaphniphylline, 1,4-dimethyl-2,8-dioxabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-4-carboxylic acid (3), a degrada tion product of daphniphylline, was synthesized from the keto diester and transformed into the 3-oxacyclopentanones (6, 7).
