Abstract

A reverse microemulsion route was employed to synthesize the electromagnetic functionalized polyaniline/Mn0.6Zn0.4Fe2O4 nanocomposites (PANI/MZFO NCs) using SDS/water/cyclohexane/n-pentanol microemulsion. The structure and morphology of obtained products were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The resulting nanocomposites exhibited a superparamagnetic behavior. The conductivity of MZFO nanoparticles was improved after coating with PANI. The probable formation mechanism of PANI/MZFO NCs was proposed. The prepared nanocomposites may have potential applications in magnetoelectric device.
