Abstract

ZnS:Ag and (Zn,Cd)S:Ag nanoparticles with particle sizes of about 50 and 150 nm have been prepared by hydrothermal method. The effects of hydrothermal process on the physical and luminescence characteristics are investigated. The photoluminescence intensities of hydrothermal treatment ZnS:Ag samples are 10 times higher than that of non-treated samples after annealing at 800°C.
