Abstract

1. By the cohydrolysis of ethoxytrimethylsilane with N-substituted (aminomethyl)diethoxymethylsilanes, liquid organosilicon polymers were obtained in which the terminal groups were trimethylsiloxy groups and there were 1, 2, and 3 intermediate organosilicon repeating units. 2. Activation energies for viscous flow were determined, and it was shown that, for a given degree of polymerization, the activation energy depends on the structure of the group introduced into the amino group. The investigated groups can be placed in the following order of diminishing activation energy for viscous flow: ClC6H4NH > C6H5NH ≥ C6H5C2H5N > (C2H5)2N.
