Abstract
1. New synthetic sulfonate additives, SSK-1 and SSB-1, have been synthesized and studied. These additives are produced from dialkylnaphthalenes obtained by alkylation of naphthalene with polymer-distillate. Tests of these additives alone and in additive packages have established their high level of detergency. 2. It has been shown that the quality indices of the oxidized oil can be improved by adding Thioalkophene MBP to the additive package.
