Abstract

To obtain high efficient and lightweight microwave (MW) absorption material, a novel composite RGO/PANI/BaNd0.2Sm0.2Fe11.6O19 (BNSF) was successfully synthesized. The RGO/PANI composite was synthesized by an in-situ polymerization, the BNSF was obtained via a chemical co-precipitation method and the RGO/PANI/BNSF ternary nanocomposite was fabricated through high energy ball mill. The phase composition, microstructure and MW absorption performance of samples were investigated and discussed. The results exhibited not only an excellent composite structure, but also an outstanding MW absorption performance. The RGO/PANI/BNSF nanocomposites exhibited excellent MW absorption property with 30 wt.% of BNSF, the minimum reflection loss (RL) could reach −50.5 dB at 13.68 GHz with the thickness of 2.90 mm. Meanwhile, the introduction of multiple polarization and relaxation in ternary composite were responsible for the enhancement of microwave attenuation and a broad effective absorption bandwidth (6.8 GHz). Based on the above results, we confirmed that the RGO/PANI/BNSF composite will have a considerable prospect in the electromagnetic interference shielding field.
