Abstract
The synthesis of dodecylaminocarbonylmethoxy substituted phthalocyanines 5ȁ7 and their precursors is described. It is demonstrated that aggregation in solution of dioctyl-aminocarbonylmethoxyphthalocyanines 1ȁ4 is induced by the presence of cations whilst hydrogen bonding is the only determinant force in the aggregation of 5ȁ7.
