Abstract

New trinitromethyl derivatives of 1,3,5-triazine were synthesized with different substituents in positions 2 and 4. Data on the in vitro cytotoxic activity of the resulting compounds were obtained using a panel of 60 human tumor cell lines. The most active compounds were the 2,4-diamino-and 2-dimethylamino-4-azido derivatives. In terms of the general level of cytotoxicity, compounds of this series were more active than previously studied polynitromethyl derivatives of 1,3,5-triazine.
