Abstract
Abstract A dialkylbis(germanolato)zirconium complex was synthesized by taking advantage of a novel bowl-shaped germanol as the ligand source, presenting the first example of a zirconium complex containing germanolato ligands. The bis(germanolato) complex as well as the analogous bis(silanolato) complex was found to exhibit catalytic activity for ethylene polymerization.
