Abstract
Using hexadecylpyridinium chloride (C 16PyCl) as cationic surfactant, a series of zirconium containing mesoporous silicates (Zr-MPS) were synthesized at room temperature in a short time. These materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), N 2 adsorption–desorption, transmission electron micrographs (TEM) and XPS. Mesoporous zirconium silicate was used as supports of Co catalysts for Fischer–Tropsch (F–T) synthesis in a slurry phase, and the effect of zirconium in the silicate framework on the catalytic properties and the selectivities for product distribution were investigated.
