Abstract

We are discussing the synthesis and characterization of titania or titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) nanoparticles via sol-gel method. The physical and electrical properties of nanoparticles were investigated. The phase structure and surface morphology of the TiO 2 film was examined using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) respectively; while the voltage and current has been measured by 4 points probe. Inorganic nanoparticles have been introduced as a material which is good in biomedical application. Titania particles synthesized via this method occurs in average size of 22.37 nm and the grain size was 38 nm. Extremely small amount of currents as small as micron-Ampere (µA) can flow through the active area of TiO 2 nanoparticles.
