Synthesis and characterization of poly([Eu or Dy] 1,1’-ferrocenediyl-bis(H-phosphinates))

Abstract

Metal-organic frameworks [M2L3]n have been synthesized using ferrocene-based ligand bearing phosphinic groups L = 1,1’-ferrocenediyl-bis(H-phosphinic acid)) and M(III) = Eu, Dy. Structures of complexes 1 and 2 are studied by IR and powder XRD analyses and shown to be isomorphic. The thermal decomposition of the synthesized compounds was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry.
