Abstract

The simple Lewis acid–base adduct Me 3Ga←Sb(SiMe 3) 3 ( 1) was prepared by the reaction of Me 3Ga and Sb(SiMe 3) 3. Dehalosilylation reaction between Me 2GaCl and Sb(SiMe 3) 3 in 1:1 mol ratio yields the trimeric [Me 2GaSb(SiMe 3) 2] 3 ( 2). 1 and 2 were fully characterized by mass and NMR spectroscopy. In addition, the solid state structure of compound 2 was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
