Abstract
Five novel acyclic cluster polyethers η5-C5H4CH2(CH2OCH2) nCH2C5H4-η5][MFeCoS(CO)8]2(M = Mo, W; n = 2,3; M = Mo, n = 4) are synthesized through double isolobal displacement reaction of (μ3-S)FeCo2(CO)9 with [η5-C5H4CH2(CH2OCH2) nCH2C5H4-η5][(CO)3MNa]2 and characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic techniques.
