Abstract

The graphene/0.8BaFe12O19/0.2Y3Fe5O12 nanocomposite was successfully prepared by a deoxidation technique. The phase composition, morphology and electromagnetic properties of the samples were detected by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and vector network analyzer (VNA). The electromagnetic parameters of the graphene/0.8BaFe12O19/0.2Y3Fe5O12 nanocomposite were investigated in the 2–18 GHz range. The experimental results show that the as-prepared graphene/0.8BaFe12O19/0.2Y3Fe5O12 nanocomposite exhibits better microwave absorbing properties than the 0.8BaFe12O19/0.2Y3Fe5O12 nanocomposite. The reflection loss values of graphene/0.8BaFe12O19/0.2Y3Fe5O12 nanocomposite less than −10 dB is obtained in the frequency of 4.6–8.2 GHz and the value of minimum reflection loss is −41.5 dB at 6.5 GHz.
