Abstract

The reaction Of Cp 3Ln (Ln  Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Y, Tm, Yb; Cp  cyclopentadienyl) with cyclohexanoneoxime in THF results in the formation of [CP 2Ln (ONC 6H 10)] 2 in moderate yields. The complexes are considered to be oxygen-bridged dimers on the basis of mass spectral data, and are relatively air-stable. Disproportionation on heating is observed for Ln  Pr, Nd, Sm.
