Abstract
Two trivalent metal pentazolate salts, namely, Fe(H2O)6(N5)3·9H2O (1) and Al(H2O)6(N5)3·9H2O (2) are prepared, and the coordination environment of the cyclo-N5− anions is discussed in detail.
