Abstract

In the present study, disodium salts of bisdithiocarbamates have been prepared from urea, thiourea, dithiooxamide and 1,3 - diaminopropanewith carbon disulfide under strong alkaline medium of a sodium hydroxide solution . All ligands possessed good chelating ability for various metal ions. Metal complexes of urea bisdithiocarbamates was synthesized with Co (II), Ni (II), Zn (II), and Pb(II).
