Abstract

In this study, perovskite Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ cathode powders prepared by solid-state reaction, pechini method and citrate-EDTA complexing method, respectively. From the result of XRD, it was found that single perovskite Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ can be prepared above 1000 oC and 950 oC, respectively, for solid-state reaction and citrate-EDTA complexing method. The average grain size of BSCF samples is respectively between 4~10μm, 1~10μm and 3~6μm prepared from solid-state reaction, pechini and citrate-EDTA complexing method. It was found that the maximum conductivity of all samples increased with temperature increased from 50° to 400° and then decreased slowly with temperature increased. The sample prepared from citrate-EDTA complexing method had the highest conductivity of 50.2 S/cm which is higher about 90% and 42% respectively than that of sample prepared from solid-state reaction and pechini method.
