Abstract
A new pentanuclear silver(I) polyaza cryptate [Ag5L](CIO4)2·2H2O, H3L = N[(CH2)3N=CH-R-CH=N(CH2)3]3N (R = m-C6H2OH-2-F-5), has been synthesized by [2+3] Schiff base condensation of tris(3-aminopropyl)amine with 2,6-diformyl-4-fluorophenol in the presence of AgNO3. It was characterized by 1H NMR, UV-Vis, spectroscopy, molar conductivity and elemental analyses. Referee I: M. S. Chinn Referee II: R. D. Adams
