Abstract

1. A palladium carbonyl-hydride complex is obtained upon reduction of palladium acetate in the presence of triphenylphosphine and dilute perchloric acid in n-butanol. 2. Reduction of palladium acetate in acetone gives tris(triphenylphosphine)monohydridopalladium perchlorate. 3. Both of these complexes are able to catalyze the reduction of nitrobenzene by carbon monoxide.
