Abstract
The behaviour of a heterobifunctional reactive dye based on a disulphidebis(ethylsulphone/monochlorotriazine) reactive system has been investigated. Relatively high degrees of exhaustion and fixation were achieved for cotton fabrics dyed with the disulphidebis(ethylsulphone/monochlorotriazine) reactive dye compared to bifunctional sulphatoethylsulphone/monochlorotriazine and/or conventional monofunctional monochlorotriazine reactive dyes. The results also indicate that the fastness properties are approximately the same for all the dyes studied in this investigation.
