Abstract

Four new Schiff bases (L1-L4) were synthesized and characterized on the basis their spectra of 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, Fourier transform infrared, and elemental analysis (CHN). The program Gaussian 09 software and DFT-based B3LYP method along using the 6-31G+(d,p) basis set were used for theoretical accounts. The antioxidant activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated by DPPH scavenger and these compounds showed good antioxidant activity.. KEYWORDS :Antibacterial, Antioxidant, Azomethine, Schiff base.
