Abstract

The synthesis of phosphazene derivatives containing N,N-bis (2-chloroethyl) amine units is described. Reactivity studies on guanine and DNA demonstrated that compounds 2 and 5 exhibit alkylating properties. Both the compounds also had cytotoxic activity on cell lines of human origin (MCF-7, T-47 D). Only 5 exhibited a moderate anti-tumoral activity on mouse P388 leukemia without any toxicity even with high doses.
