Abstract

The cyclopolymerization of 2,6-bis[7′-(4″-ethynylphenoxy)-2′,5′-dioxaheptyl]pyridine was carried out using a rhodium complex catalyst to yield the polyphenylacetylene with an aza-crown ether cavity. The obtained polymer showed binding ability for metal cations, which was particularly high for Ag +.
