Abstract
In this paper, CdS-Au hybrid nanorings (HNRs) were synthesized by self-template method at low temperature. The CdS-Au HNRs have an open hollow structure and well-defined morphology. SEM, TEM and XRD were used to monitor the development of morphology and structure of samples during the synthesis of CdS-Au HNRs. Compared with CdS NRs, CdS-Au HNRs have stronger ability to absorb dye molecules due to the electron transfer between CdS and Au.
