Abstract

Abstract A number of nitrosyls of cobalt N'-amidinoisoureas of general formula [CoL2(NO)(H2O)], [CoL2'(NO)Cl]Cl and [CoL2'(NO)H2O]SO4 (where L = N'-amidinoisourea, L' = O-alkyl-N'-amidinoisourea) have been synthesized and characterized. Physico-chemical properties of these complexes suggest the above formulations and indicate the presence of comparatively high electron density on the coordinated NO group.
