Abstract

Synthesis of New Triazolo‐Annulated 8‐AzapurinesTreatment of the 5‐amino‐4‐cyano‐1,2,3‐triazoles 1a–f with triethyl orthoformate and orthoacetate 2 gives the ethoxymethyleneamino‐1,2,3‐triazoles 3a–f which react with hydrazine hydrate at room temperature to yield the 1‐amino‐6‐imino‐8‐azapurines 4a–f. The pyrimidines 6a–I are obtained from 4a–f by reaction with triethyl orthoacetate and orthoformate 5.
