Abstract

The Kota division is a part of Rajasthan lying east of Aravalli hills and enjoying 2 climate favourable for the growth of good forests. In the present account about 700 taxa from the area are enumerated and relevant genera and species are provided with keys to facilitate their identification. In absence of any account of the flora of the region as a whole and in view that though Duthie (1903-20) included the area in his Fl. Upp. Gatig. Pl., he never visited it, this attempt may be considered a step forward towards better understanding of the flora of the region.
