Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study the context of the problem situation and the hindrance in managing supply chain collaboration in order to find ways to drive cooperation policy between the manufacturing entrepreneur and the distribution center entrepreneur with retailing entrepreneur. Scope of the study extends to cover the targeted group area located in the Shanghai Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. The population and sampling groups of the study consist of Senior Management team of Lotus Supercenter, China chain store, manufacturing entrepreneur group, distribution center entrepreneur group, retailing entrepreneur group, expert group and scholars in order to attain the objectives by using the mixed method pattern consisting of qualitative research as the main part through in-depth interviews and conversations with entrepreneur group including the expert group to support the concept of collaborative working where the quantitative research is the supporting part. Questionnaire Forms are used to obtain the opinions of employees of all three related groups of entrepreneurs to perceive the relationship between the factors affecting the supply chain. Statistical software packages are used for the research by using the tools through Pearson analysis model. It is found, as a result of the research, that all three partite entrepreneurs: namely: the manufacturing entrepreneur, the distribution center entrepreneur and the retailing entrepreneur, must be collaborative to develop technology in working together. Whereon the aspect of the information, which is accurate and available in a timely manner, of the system having been jointly developed is a new innovation to lessen various problems from duplicate work in order to cause the creation of a competitiveness in the same direction as well as to reduce the operating costs of all parties and further effectively respond to the needs of the customers.
