Abstract

Piezoelectric photocatalysis has great potential in solving environmental problems. The nanocomposites with cavity structure have played an important role in the the plasmonic enhanced fields. Here, we integrated the synergy of the plasmonic and piezoelectric effect as well as the cavity-enhanced effect, and fabricated the piezoelectric and plasmonic modulated PVDF/MoS2 cavity/Au heterostructure with a facile approach. The experimental results demonstrated the proposed PVDF/MoS2/Au samples possess well photocatalytic performance with the catalytic efficiency up to 99.9% within 45 min and the high pseudo-first-order kinetic constant (K) of 0.04664 min−1.The proposed piezoelectric catalytic active membrane will be a promising candidate material for the next generation of water purification systems, which is of great significance for exploring large-scale applications in wastewater treatment and other plasmonic enhanced fields.
