Abstract
Octachlorodipropyl ether ( bis -(2,3,3,3-tetrachloropropyl)ether), a pyrethrum synergist, was found to act as synergist of carbamate insecticides against susceptible and carbamate-selected strains of houseflies( Musca domestica L.). Under certain circumstances synergistic effect was evident with ratios of synergist to carbamate as low as 1: 20, and persisted for at least 96 hours following application of the synergist.
