Abstract

Malignancy risk in transplant recipients is higher than in the general population. We present synchronous urological malignancies – papillary carcinoma of the native kidney and ductal adenocarcinoma of the prostate in a renal transplant recipient. Clear-cell carcinoma and papillary carcinoma are common renal tumors in transplant recipients. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography helped in the diagnosis of tumor in the native kidney. To the best of our knowledge, ductal adenocarcinoma of the prostate in renal transplant recipients has not been reported. Ductal adenocarcinoma is an aggressive subtype of prostatic carcinomas with lesser prostate-specific acid elevation which has a bearing on diagnosis and management.
