Abstract

We investigate numerically the spatiotemporal stochastic synchronization in one-dimensional media modeled by coupled bistable functional units driven by external noise. This phenomenon manifests itself as the mean switching frequency entrainment and as «in-phase» hopping dynamics in the form of «standing» and «running» waves at two-and one-way coupling, respectively.
