Eosinophilic esophagitis disease course varies during pregnancy. Many patients' symptoms improve during pregnancy and worsen after. Pregnant patients often opt to decrease pharmacotherapy, highlighting the importance of discussing medication safety data, adverse outcomes associated with diet restriction, and close follow-up.
