Abstract

Metastases to the kidney are common in patients with carcinomatosis, but tend to be small, bilateral and asymptomatic.1, 2 The kidneys are not an uncommon site of metastatic testicular germ cell tumor, but when metastases occur they are more frequently associated with primary nonseminomatous testicular germ cell tumor or mixed testicular tumor. Symptomatic metastasis from classic seminomatous germ cell tumor is uncommon although metastases have been described as part of generalized (stage III) disease.1, 2 We report on a patient with renal metastasis of a classic testicular seminoma presenting with hematuria and a renal pelvicaliceal mass.
