Abstract
Symptomatic Ossified Ligamentum Flavum Secondary to Hyperparathyroidism Ossification of the ligamentum flavum (OLF) is a relatively rare disease process. It is typically idiopathic, most commonly occurring in the Japanese population. It has never before been reported as a consequence of hyperparathyroidism. We report a case of OLF in an African American patient with underlying renal disease and secondary hyperparathyroidism.
