Abstract
Sympodiosynnema gen. nov. is illustrated and described from dead stems of an unidentified plant in Hainan, southern China. The genus is characterized by solitary dry naviculiform conidia, sympodially proliferating conidiogenous cells, and synnematous conidiophores.
