Abstract

Symmetries in continuous Petri nets result in symmetric system behaviors. This fact is used by the method suggested in this contribution. We present a structured procedure to construct a Petri net of smaller size which has the same dynamical behavior as the original net. It consists of an automated construction of the reduced net including the adaption of arc weights and firing rates and works under mild assumptions on unequal conflicts.
