Abstract
Implications of a d x su2-y 2 symmetry component of the order parameter for the transport properties of grain boundaries in high- T c superconductors are discussed. Among other effects, the d x 2- y 2 symmetry causes intrinsic weak links, inhomogeneous current distributions in the junctions and reduced I c R n products.
