Abstract
This paper is concerned mainly with the problem of the origin of highTc.s-Wave vs.d-wave pairing, the isotope effect, and the strong coupling of the carriers to low-frequency optical phonon modes are discussed. This latter strong coupling is sufficient to provide highTc.
