Abstract
In this paper, we study symmetry and monotonicity properties for positive solutions of semilinear elliptic equations with mixed boundary conditions. We establish a version of the maximum principle for mixed boundary conditions in a narrow domain, and prove the positive solution in super-spherical cone is axially symmetric and monotone in some direction by the methods of moving planes.
