Abstract

An approach, based on Lindenmayer systems (L-systems), to symbolic computation presented earlier [1] is extended to allow differentiation and integration of various functions and solution of simultaneous linear equations. All the rules presented earlier and the new ones are incorporated in a symbolic L-system software (SLMATH) which is implemented on a UNIX based system. Sample results are presented.
