Abstract

There is growing evidence supporting a need to integrate palliative care and oncological care, especially early access to Specialized Palliative Care service (SPC) for patients with advanced cancer. Clinicians need to know appropriate timing for SPC referral based on patient and familiy reported outcomes derived from their experiences through cancer diagnosis, anticancer treatment, and end of life care; however, few studies have investigated the appropriate SPC referral timing based on cancer patients and their families reported outcome.
