Abstract

Dependences of the remanent magnetization Mr and switching field H* of a glass-coated amorphous Fe71.8Cu1Nb3.1Si15B9.1 microwire on the angle ϕ between the microwire axis and the applied magnetic field have been studied. Drastic increase of the switching field and decrease of remanence with the deviation of the applied magnetic field from the wire axis have been observed. Such experimental dependences have been interpreted as the remagnetization of the inner axially magnetized core under the effect of axial magnetic field projection. The contribution of axial magnetic field amplitude projection and non-axial magnetic domains of the outer radially magnetized domain shell should be taken into account in order to explain the observed angular dependences.
