Abstract

The paper presents the SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor) model, implemented on multifunction reconfigurable I/O (RIO) FPGA module NI 7841R with the use of the graphical programming language LabVIEW. The model was prepared for the real-time HiL (Hardware in the Loop) platform. The model is virtual counterpart of the real SRM motor, which was originally designed to be used in household goods. The SRM model is in the form of magnetostatic characteristics of torque, current, flux, and rotor position. To obtain it the numerical open-software simulations and real measurements, based on voltage versus current tests were used. Instead of the model description the paper presents also routines to create and implement the model on FPGA target.
