Abstract
Hysteresis loops of amorphous Tb 60Fe 20Al 20 are measured at several sweep rates of a magnetic field at 4.2 K. At a fast sweep rate of 0.25 T/s, magnetization abruptly jumps at 2.9 T, while the jump disappears at a slow sweep rate of 0.004 T/s. The magnetization jump is considered to reflect the dissipation mechanism of spin-reversal energy in adiabatic system.
